Industrial Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Wyoming, IL seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (4x10 Schedule)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to support CNC machining operations and facility maintenance. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment and production machinery while ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Repair and maintain CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, and related systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

CNC & Equipment Maintenance

• Inspect, maintain, and repair CNC controls, motors, drives, and tooling systems
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and alignment
• Work with PLC systems and basic electrical components, including wiring and sensors
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors to resolve machine performance issues
• Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential equipment concerns
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase machine reliability and efficiency

Building & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain facility systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and structural components
• Perform general repairs such as electrical work, minor welding, and fabrication
• Ensure all building systems are operating safely and efficiently
• Assist with facility upkeep and preventative maintenance programs
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Experience working with CNC machines, mills, and lathes
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
