Mill Creek Country Club in Mill Creek, WA is excited to announce a part‑time Greenskeeper opportunity. This seasonal position, lasting up to six months, is part of Troon , a global leader in golf and community management. Related Titles: Landscaper, Golf Course Laborer; Groundskeeper. Reports to: Assistant Superintendent / Golf Course Superintendent. Supervises: No supervisory duties. Ideal Candidate Likes to work outside early in the mornings, has a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. Knowledge of the game of Golf is a plus. Job Summary (Essential Functions) As the Golf Landscaper/Greenskeeper at Mill Creek Country Club, under the supervision of the golf course superintendent, assistant superintendent, or foreman, you will perform routine manual labor involved in and/or related to golf course maintenance, including semi‑skilled grounds construction and maintenance work. You will operate small hand‑powered equipment and occasionally work with larger equipment such as tractors, fairway units, triplex mowers, and walking mowers. Education and/or Experience Some High School. Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or greenkeeping is preferred but not required. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Knowledge of golf course operations. Knowledge of irrigation systems. Ability to perform required role in a timely manner. Cooperations with and respects fellow employees. Presents a professional image at all times. Job Tasks/Duties Performs basic labor on the golf course. Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and golf course grounds. Rakes and blows leaves on walkways, parking lots, cart storage areas, driveways, etc. Mows greens and fairways using walk‑behind and riding turf equipment. Prepares and lays sod. Fills divots and repairs ball marks. Operates utility vehicles, sod cutters, weed‑eaters, hand‑held blowers, and small equipment. Rakes and edges bunkers, periodically fills with sand. Loads and unloads materials. Repairs and maintains driving range tees. Cleans all equipment used on the golf course grounds. Digs holes and trenches for irrigation and drainage lines. Installs pipe and backfills excavations. Empties garbage cans. Attends staff meetings. Performs manual watering on the golf course. Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Periodic exposure to wet, humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level is moderate to loud. Must meet and perform the physical requirements and work effectively in a typical environment. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. Might need protective equipment such as respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots. Job Benefits Golf Privileges on certain days of the week. Lunches provided during the week.
