Senior Systems Engineer

Requirements Must have: We require a bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics discipline. We require 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or a masters degree plus 3 years of related experience. We prefer experience working in Agile environments. You must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable time after hire. You must be eligible for a government security investigation and access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required for this role. Responsibilities We work as part of a cross-functional team to coordinate development of a subsystem upgrade for a submarine Fire Control System. We seek candidates who can contribute to systems engineering activities such as requirements management, documentation control, testing, verification, and validation. We value experience in systems design and development, including hardware/software integration, planning, troubleshooting, testing, and reporting. We look for professionals who can support engineering leadership, communicate clearly, deliver presentations, and collaborate across disciplines. We rely on team members to help drive modernization initiatives and integrate complex technical scope across groups with differing goals. We value those who can produce white papers to inform the strategic community about emerging technologies.
