Overview As a Registered Nurse RN Surgical Unit, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. Responsibilities Coordinate the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit to provide quality patient care. Apply knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations. Provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
