Associate Director, FP&A

Lyell Immunopharma seeks an Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. The role partners with cross-functional leaders to provide financial insights supporting resource allocation and strategic decision-making for a clinical-stage cell therapy company.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles with cross-functional coordination
• Own monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking and communication
• Partner with R&D, Clinical, Commercial and G&A leaders on spend monitoring and cost analysis
• Develop and maintain driver-based financial models linking operations to financial performance
• Lead headcount and operating expense planning with HR and functional leaders

Requirements

• Experience leading FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Demonstrated ability to partner with R&D, clinical, and operational business units
• Strong financial analysis and variance analysis capabilities
• Experience with driver-based financial modeling and performance management
• Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
• Track record of improving FP&A processes and financial discipline
