Job Summary:
The location is Nashville, Tennessee. This position is for a Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at an organization that provides high-acuity, fast-paced critical care services. The role involves caring for critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular diagnoses such as cardiac surgery, transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, cardiopulmonary arrest, and post ventricular assist device placement. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is scheduled for the weekends, with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, totaling 36 hours, and may include an extended shift on Monday for a 48-hour weekend.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test is also required.
• Patients Served: Patients with diagnoses including cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post cardiopulmonary arrest, and post ventricular assist device placement.
• Patients' Age Range: Adolescent through late adult (14 - 60+)
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Additional Information: The direct patient care team comprises registered nurses and patient care technicians.
