Unarmed Bailiff

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications from qualified individuals, interested in joining our team as the new Unarmed Courthouse Bailiff . This position reports to the Bailiff Supervisor and will be responsible for security functions associated with maintaining ingress/egress screening of visitors to the courthouse buildings, patrolling, emergency response, & and the prevention of criminal acts within the Courthouse and Administration Center Buildings for Monroe County.
Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Must possess one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving security, law enforcement, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid PA driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
