Job Summary The Yard Driver is responsible for moving tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. Position Details Sunday - Thursday Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM $29.35 per hour Responsibilities Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving policies. Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks. Transports tractor trailers to off‑site maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving. Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 6+ months CMV driving experience Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position. CDL‑A required Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable) Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check Pass road test Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance record in accordance with driver training program requirements.
