As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, screening visitors and packages as needed, and responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, receiving locations, exterior entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Help support a welcoming, orderly environment by providing directions, assisting with access-related questions, and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
