How can you make a difference?

UNICEF Global Programme Division is advancing REACH as the digital and operational backbone for the new Centre of Excellence (CoE) business model. REACH is intended to help consolidate fragmented technical assistance processes into a more integrated ecosystem that connects requests, workflows, expertise, knowledge, user feedback, and performance learning. The successful adoption of REACH requires more than a platform rollout; it requires practical process reengineering, strong internal communications, disciplined feedback management, and structured coordination across business and technical workstreams.

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide time-bound, deliverable-based support to strengthen the integration of REACH into the new CoE operating model. The consultant will help convert evolving business requirements, user experiences, and working group inputs into clear process documentation, communication materials, feedback summaries, implementation trackers, and recommendations for continuous improvement. The assignment will help ensure that REACH-supported workflows are understandable, usable, and aligned with real Country Office, Regional Office, Global Practice, HQ and CoE needs.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

Minimum requirements:

Education: Master's in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, Social Sciences, Communications, Change Management, Innovation, Information Systems, Service Design, or another relevant field. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of relevant qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.

Work Experience:
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in process improvement, business process analysis, organizational change, internal communications, digital transformation, programme/project coordination, service design, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience mapping business processes, documenting workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and translating user needs into practical process improvements.
• Experience designing or supporting change management, communications, training, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, or adoption activities.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional working groups, workshops, consultations, feedback loops, and action tracking.
• Experience working with digital platforms, product teams, agile delivery environments, or enterprise systems is desirable.
• Experience in the UN, international development, humanitarian, public sector, or large-scale organizational transformation context is an asset.

Skills: • Strong facilitation, coordination, writing, synthesis, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate complex operational issues into clear guidance, process documentation, recommendations, and communications products.
• Familiarity with user-centred design, design thinking, service design, or human-centred innovation approaches.
• Strong command of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools. Familiarity with SharePoint, Lists, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and basic analytics/reporting tools is desirable.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, agile backlog management, requirements management, or workflow platforms is an asset.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
