This position is responsible for maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls, and contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the department.Key Responsibilities include the following:Process a high volume (300+ per week) of vendor invoices accurately and timely using MS Dynamics GP/StampliReview invoices for proper approvals, coding accuracy, 2-way/3-way matching, and supporting documentationReconcile vendor statements and investigate/resolve discrepanciesManage the AP inbox, respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationshipsMaintain and update vendor records, including W-9 forms, payment information, and 1099 documentation, ensuring compliance for audit requirements and reportingAssist with month-end close processes, including accrualsSupport annual audits by providing requested documentation and account detailsCollaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues and clarify documentationProvide general support to the department and assist with additional tasks as neededRequired Skills and ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferredMinimum of 4 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environmentStrong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controlsExperience with ERP/accounting systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables)High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to process large volumes of informationStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlinesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skillsEffective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholdersAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentDemonstrated commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous process improvementConstruction, manufacturing, or multi-entity accounting experience is a plusBay City Electric Works Core ValuesCHAMPION SAFETY: Know it.
