Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Responsibilities include supervising and directing nursing staff activities and coordinating care with other disciplines while applying critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

Essential Functions

• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and safety.
• Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required
