Medication Specialist

Medication SpecialistCenter for Human Development, CHD, is currently seeking a full-time Medication Specialist for our Grace House residential program. CHD's Grace House is a residential treatment program for mothers in early recovery located in Northampton, MA. The program can house up to fourteen mothers with children in a collective living environment, where they share space and resources in an effort to build a recovery community and encourage peaceful living. As a therapeutic setting, we strive to provide each family with a safe, nurturing environment where mothers and their children can experience success.Grace House is considered a Medication Observation Program (MOP).The medication specialist primary function is to ensure proper medication observation strategies are being followed, that patient and resident prescription medications and over the counter drugs are being taken properly and desired health outcomes are achieved. This includes initial and ongoing monitoring of medications, addressing medication supply and adherence concerns, and coordinating care between providers, participant, and clinical team.Some additional responsibilities will include;Inventory and storageMonitoring use and safe handling of medicationsDisposal of medicationsTransporting medicationsAssisting in re-packaging medications into pill organizers/boxes and alternative dosage systemsWeekly requisitions of all participants' medication regime/adherence in preparation to present to clinical team during weekly clinical meetingsFacilitate ongoing communication with leadership and clinical team about any issues relating to medicationInterested candidates must have at least two years of working experience in mental health/SUD, one year of working experience with medications or have MAP or MOP certification, associate degree preferred.Schedule is full time, 40hrs a week, Tuesday - Saturday from 3:00pm-11:00pm.The pay rate starts at $21.50/hr. and is complemented with a phenomenal benefit package that includes, Dental, Health and Life insurance, a flexible schedule, paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.At Center for Human Development, CHD, Care Finds a Way:The Center for Human Development (CHD) provides a broad range of high quality, community-oriented human services dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and protecting the dignity and welfare of people in need.
