Summary Join our dynamic marketing team as a Social Media Community Coordinator! You'll collaborate on content creation, manage daily community engagement across platforms, and serve as our primary PR associate. This role combines social media expertise with operational support—maintaining processes, driving communication, and ensuring consistent, quality brand representation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Community Management & Engagement Manage day‑to‑day communication with our social media audience across all active platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) Monitor passive platforms (Bluesky, Threads, Truth Social) for brand mentions and emerging opportunities Monitor, respond to, and moderate user comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner Develop and implement community engagement strategies to grow and nurture our online audience Stay current on social media trends, best practices, and platform updates Content Collaboration & Campaign Support Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist to develop, create, and schedule trending content that boosts engagement Assist in planning and executing social media contests, interactive content, and campaigns that encourage responses and conversations Attend company events to capture photo and video content as needed Influencer & Partner Outreach Support our new influencer marketing initiative by assisting with outreach, communication, and coordination Assist with identifying and engaging influencers, potential brand advocates, and partner brands to expand community outreach Public Relations & Media Contact Serve as initial contact for media inquiries and journalist communications Write and distribute press releases and media materials Develop and execute media pitches for company news and announcements Maintain media contact database and coordinate interview logistics Monitor media coverage and industry news Brand Protection & Crisis Support Support crisis management efforts by monitoring and addressing potential issues across social channels Proactively identify and address conflicts that could impact the brand's reputation Internal Programs & Training Assist with social media training sessions for Acme Sales Associates Support the Social Media Specialist in managing Sprout's Advocacy program for Acme Associates Skills and Experience Required for Success Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required) or equivalent experience in marketing, journalism, English, communications, or public relations preferred Prefer experience in social media management or community management Experience with the major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) Microsoft Office experience (specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
