Details Acute care Level 1 trauma hospital setting on a 2A Admissions Med/Surg unit 15-bed unit with all private rooms serving general medical/surgical patients ready for discharge from the ER but not yet assigned to a specific unit Perform initial admissions and provide care until patients transfer to their permanent unit Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights Uses Epic EMR, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights (0700-1930 or 1900-0730) Every other weekend and every other holiday required No on-call requirements Float to other medical/surgical units as needed Requirements Active RN license (ND or Compact) required BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required Level 1 trauma center experience required Epic EMR experience required Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment Additional Information New medical/surgical unit with a fast-paced environment Navy blue scrubs required Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility qualify for a local travel rate American Traveler Job ID P-749577.
