Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:Clean and sanitize designated areas according to established schedules and safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environmentOperate and maintain housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, mops, and scrubbers, to complete tasksPerform window washing and other seasonal cleaning tasks as neededMaintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishment when neededAssist with setting up designated spaces for meetings or eventsPerform minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and performing paint touch-ups; promptly report damages or major maintenance needsProvide outstanding customer service, remaining professional and respectfulAbility to lift a minimum of 60 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodationsAbility to stand for long periods of time, walking, bending, twisting, pulling and pushingThis position requires a high degree of flexibility to respond to and coordinate with the needs of the faculty, staff, and public. Communication with the team and supervisor is critical for success.This position is located in Plymouth, NC. This position is for 20 hours per week.QualificationsMinimum Experience/Education - Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special certification may be required for some of these positions.Preferred Qualifications - Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions, and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience performing housekeeping duties in a commercial environment. Experience using standard housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums and buffers, to accomplish assigned tasks.
