1st Class Handyperson

We are seeking a 1st Class Handyperson to join our team at BAE Systems Inc. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for:

• Complete grinding, scaling and other surface preparation activities,
• Complete cutting, and tacking work, be familiar with hot work requirements.
• Able to measure and cut pip
• Help mechanics and tradespeople with installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Work Authorization Forms (WAF).
• Work with hand tools, power tools, and small shop equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $19.00 to $23.00 per hour (or $39,520 to $47,840 annually). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as shift differentials or the terms outlined in an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will ultimately determine your wages. • Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 1 to 2 years' relevant trade experience
• Skills: Read blueprints, use a tape measure to 1/16", and understand basic math and measurements.
• Physical: Stand or walk for long periods, work in confined spaces, and wear required safety gear.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a government access badge.

• 5-years experience in maritime/marine industrial operations.
