Position : Phlebotomist Location : Client site, Abingdon, VA Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 – $27.69 per hour Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees scheduled a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
