Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Part-Time Occupational Therapist. The hours for this position are 9a-2p Mon-Thu OR 9a-1p Mon-Fri. The hourly rate for this position will be $40-$45/hr. based on qualifications and experience. This position is based out of our Elgin facility at the Nathan Education Center. Responsibilities Include Provides and directs Occupational Therapy services to residents and students including assessments, goals, treatment plans, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication. Perform annual evaluation for IPP and IEP meetings Performs duties as clinical instructor for potential OT students and supervises COTAs Assists with aqua therapy and orthotics as needed Provides training and in-services to staff and caregivers on occupational therapy related topics as needed Adheres to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, Marklund policies and procedures and state regulations Please note that this job summary is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. With two residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.
