The Clinical Support Nurse Coordinator supports multiple units. Clinical Support Nurse Coordinator provides guidance and education on the hospitals standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements./pulliPerforms rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs. Escalates concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate./liliUtilizes skills of observation. Provides feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care./liliProvides feedback and mentoring on patient assessments and care planning./liliProvides assistance with performing or troubleshooting specific skills./liliMaintains IMobile phone for easy contact by new graduates or nurses within scope of support./liliTracks requests to identify most commonly requested skills for purposes of enhancing orientation education./liliFosters teamwork and contributes to achievement of team goals./liliAttends rapid responses and codes as needed, to observe, provide feedback, and debrief, facilitate education, direction, coaching before, during and after the rapid response or code as indicated./liliShares knowledge/ expertise and assists co-workers./li/ulpEducation:/pulliBachelors Degree in Nursing required/liliMasters Degree in Nursing or related field preferred/li/ulpExperience:/pulli2 years of RN experience required/lili1 year of leadership role preferred/lili1 year of preceptor experience preferred/li/ulpLicense/Certification:/pulliCurrently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
