Structural Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Support structural engineering activities related to aircraft durability, fatigue, and damage tolerance for military and civil aircraft platforms. The role focuses on structural analysis, airframe integrity, field support, production support, and aftermarket enhancement activities to ensure aircraft structural reliability throughout the operational envelope.

#Education & Job Requirements

*5+ years of relevant technical and engineering experience required

*5+ years with military and civil aircraft experience
*Bachelor’s degree required in: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Other related fields

*Working knowledge of structural engineering
*Experience in basic structural analysis techniques, finite element stress analysis, static and dynamic loads development, and materials
*Knowledge of aircraft design and production methods

*Good with internal and external customers
*Must be proficient in MS Office
*Professional and diplomatic demeanor
*Strong sense of accountability and integrity
*Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Must be able to manage projects of various sizes and scopes
*Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

*Experience with aircraft Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis techniques

#Job Duties & Functions

*Support structures, fatigue, and damage tolerance engineering activities across aircraft programs
*Provide continued field support for legacy aircraft platforms
*Support ongoing production line activities and aftermarket product enhancements
*Ensure aircraft airframes are durable and tolerant to operational damage throughout service life
*Perform structural engineering analysis to ensure aircraft structural integrity throughout the operating envelope
*Execute structural analysis activities, including finite element stress analysis and loads development
*Collaborate with internal and external customers on engineering support activities
*Support multiple concurrent engineering projects and assignments
