Job Title : Grinder Operator

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Salisbury, NC

Pay: $12.50–$14.50 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating grinding equipment, maintaining clean material flow, preventing contamination, and supporting efficient production. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain assigned grinding equipment safely and efficiently

· Keep hoppers filled with the correct materials to support continuous production

· Perform magnet inspections each shift and document debris levels

· Cut bale straps using required personal protective equipment (full face shield and gloves)

· Remove and properly dispose of all wire strapping

· Inspect scrap materials for contamination, including wood, plastic, metal, glass, and other foreign materials

· Identify and report nonconforming products, materials, or process issues

· Stop or control production processes that may result in defective products until corrected

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

· Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies

· Support ISO 9001 standards and continuous improvement initiatives

· Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

· Basic reading, writing, and math skills

· Strong verbal communication skills

· High attention to detail and organization

· Reliable attendance and punctuality

· Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to lift heavy materials throughout the shift

· Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

· Experience operating grinding equipment or similar industrial machinery

· Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards

· Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and PPE requirements
