Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel RN Hospital, Emergency Room | Near Rockford, IL Assignment Overview We are seeking an experienced ER RN to work in an Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and will be assigned to float to the Emergency Department at our Freeport, IL hospital location. Assignment Details Shift: Evening / Night Shift (12-hour shifts) Weekend and holiday rotation required Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2484 (negotiable) Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies Document patient care according to standards Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care Develop and execute patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician Participate in department performance improvement activities Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of the patient’s plan of care Utilize critical thinking concerning patient safety and escalate concerns as needed Participate in the professional nursing continuum process and peer review Qualifications Required: Active IL RN Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required PEL/VIP Job ID 64248290.
