Job Title: R.N. - Intensive Care Unit Department: Intensive Care Unit Location: Newark Hours per week: Part Time (24 hours per week) Schedule: Evening/Night (6:00pm‑6:00am), rotating weekends and holidays Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Our Unit: Join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a 9‑bed unit that provides high‑acuity care to critically ill patients, including those experiencing ventilatory support, drips, respiratory distress, sepsis, and overdose. We collaborate with Rochester General Hospital’s SICU through daily telemedicine, ensuring seamless access to expert care and support for our team. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care. Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patients, utilizing appropriate data (physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen) appropriate for the chronological/developmental age of the patient. Communicate and document assessments with the interdisciplinary team. Utilize all available resources to meet the needs of patients and families. Develop and document individualized plans of care, treatment, and services, revising them based on ongoing evaluations and documenting updates appropriately. Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, including those governing safety, medication administration, and documentation. Complete at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form per year, using a research article from the last five years performed in the United States. Complete a minimum of five nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year. Complete mandatory in‑services and health screens in a timely manner. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required Qualifications Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse license in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
