Advanced Practice Provider: Bone Marrow Transplant and Immunotherapy

Responsibilities The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. The APP is responsible for the primary care of the patient to include assessment, triage and management of the transplant patient as part of a collaborative transplant team. Responsibilities include obtaining medical history, performing physical examinations, reviewing and ordering diagnostic studies, radiographs, and prescribing treatments. APPs perform bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, and act as first assists with bone marrow harvests and provide follow‑up care of bone marrow donors under the supervision of the attending physician. Required Qualifications Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant training program or an appropriate Nurse Practitioner program and be able to practice in the state of Washington (licensed). Have National Certification as appropriate for the profession. Must be licensed for schedule II drug authority upon credentialing. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Basic computer skills are essential. Must be able to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Must enjoy long‑term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy. Preferred Qualifications Oncology or BMT experience preferred. Salary The annual base salary range for this position is from $131,000 to $201,456, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
