Engineering Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Engineering Technician for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This entry-level technician position provides engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing, and basic laboratory operations. The role focuses on cable harness fabrication, electronic/electrical chassis and subassembly panels, and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings.

Required Skills

• At least 4 years of recent experience with cable harness fabrication
• Basic knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Ability to fabricate harnesses, electronic/electrical chassis, subassembly panels, and mechanical racks
• Ability to visualize and build electronic racks with minimal defects
• Ability to follow directions and accomplish work in a timely manner
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to discuss technical issues with Build Leads
• Dependable and motivated work ethic
• Willingness to learn

What You'll Do

• Provide engineering hardware fabrication support
• Fabricate cable harnesses
• Fabricate electronic/electrical chassis and subassembly panels
• Perform mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings
• Troubleshoot and test engineering hardware
• Perform basic laboratory operations
• Work on test stations
• Push and pull electronic equipment on carts
• Use ladders when required
• Lift equipment and materials up to 25 pounds
• Ask Build Leads questions regarding job tasks and technical issues
• Complete assigned work while maintaining attention to detail and minimizing defects
