Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

• Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
• Position: Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Required

• Clinic-based position
• Provides direct patient care under a physician collaborative agreement
• Must be able to manage patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions, counseling, and education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required

• Active Arkansas APRN License
• Active DEA License in good standing

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience

• BLS required at start
• ACLS required within first 6 months of employment
• PALS required within first year of employment

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular healthcare services
• Perform patient assessments and diagnoses
• Develop and manage treatment plans
• Prescribe medications according to APRN protocols
• Provide patient and family counseling and education
• Deliver preventative and therapeutic care in collaboration with physicians

• Basic computer skills required
• Working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Population Health portals
  • Database systems

• Clinic setting
• Ability to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, squat, and twist during shifts
  • Work 8-12 hour shifts as needed
  • Lift equipment weighing 50+ pounds occasionally
  • Assist with patient movement and wheelchair transport
  • Respond quickly during emergency situations
  • Perform CPR and retrieve emergency equipment
  • Manage critical and high-stress situations effectively
• Extended computer and documentation time required
• Must be able to respond to changing patient conditions and equipment alarms
