Mechanic A / Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Location: Onsite Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Overtime & weekends as needed) Pay: $30–$32/hr (DOE) Type: Contract-to-Hire (potential for early conversion) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Holiday, PTO 401K matching Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging equipment, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility systems. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, controls, and PLC-controlled equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, welding, and basic facility repairs. Read electrical schematics and equipment manuals to identify and install replacement parts. Maintain GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards while documenting maintenance activities. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred). Strong mechanical skills with working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting. Experience with automated equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled machinery. Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test (60% or higher). Interview Process: Onsite interview with HR and Hiring Manager, plus a 1–2 hour mechanical assessment.
