Communications & Marketing Specialist

Auburn University's Facilities Management is seeking a talented and creative Communications and Marketing Specialist to help tell the story of the people, projects, and impact behind our work. This role is ideal for a skilled writer who is passionate about crafting engaging, meaningful content and bringing complex operational topics to life for a broad audience. In this position, you will create clear, compelling, feature‑style stories that highlight the vital role Facilities Management plays across campus. Your work will connect with an internal audience of nearly 500 employees, while also shaping how faculty, staff, students, and alumni understand and experience our services. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and published writer who can translate technical or operational information into accessible, engaging content. You will collaborate with teams across Facilities Management to gather insights, develop story ideas, and ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with our mission. In addition to writing, you will edit and refine content , ensuring clarity and quality across all communications. You will also contribute to the development of multimedia content for distribution across a variety of platforms, including websites, digital publications, and internal communication channels.
