Associate Behavioral Health Counselor

Job Summary Associate Behavioral Health Counselor responsible for delivering individual, family, and group therapy to clients of the Mission Behavioral Health Department (BHD) and their children, when applicable. Will maintain client confidentiality, develop coping skills, and guide the recovery process. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Target starting pay: $34.54 per hour Responsibilities Help maintain a positive, pleasant, and Christian atmosphere while providing individual, family, and group therapy. Facilitate groups based on skills, training, needs, and interests. Maintain clinical documentation and complete administrative tasks required for competent care and daily business requirements. Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Manager to complete required clinical hours and supervision as mandated by the DOH. Coordinate with assigned clients, families, and their care team, including case management, to ensure effective communication with clients’ support systems. Attend individual and group supervision meetings as scheduled. Attend wrap, focus, staff, and other department meetings as assigned. Participate in the Grace‑based philosophy of ministry and the self‑evaluation process. Participate in all required Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training courses. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Assist with additional administrative tasks and organizational initiatives as required. Qualifications Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field. Associate license through the Washington State Department of Health, allowing clinically supervised hours under a licensed mental health professional. Good standing to study and prepare for the LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or a related exam. Experience in social‑service organizations preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods in a temperature‑controlled environment. Occasionally the employee will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands or arms. Lifts up to 30 pounds and walks, using stairways to climb multiple floors within the company. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
