Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Upstate New York

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shift. Float rotation required as needed.

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department with diverse patient populations including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• High-acuity case mix including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Specialty units include 40 acute beds, 2 trauma bays, 10 clinical decision unit beds, and 6 psychiatric beds
• EPIC EMR system experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• 12.5-hour shifts with comprehensive critical care exposure

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license verified through NURSYS
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric exposure
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Proficiency with critical drips including pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Experience with specialty equipment including Rapid Infuser and Arctic Sun
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility for travel rate, or local rate available for those within 75 miles
