The Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of all facility and production equipment. This position involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and schedule PM tasks per system requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and basic electrical systems.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
• Perform routine building maintenance (e.g., windows, doors, walls).
• Maintain and review logs, work orders, PM records, and breakdown reports.
• Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Communicate effectively with Maintenance Manager and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory; order and track parts for repairs or projects.
• Complete accurate documentation for all work performed.
• Assist with equipment startups and basic utility system checks (boilers, cooling towers, ventilation).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Proficient with tools, testing devices, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, and basic HVAC systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 75 lbs.), and to stand, walk, bend, and work in various conditions.

Qualification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Qualification:

• Technical degree or certification in a related field.
• 2+ years of maintenance technician experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Hourly Rate : Dependant on experience
