About This Role The Emergency Department Nurse provides nursing care to a defined group of patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, coordinating care with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in critical thinking and clinical judgment. Highlights Pay: $44 - $81/hour Location: Seattle, WA Facility: Kaiser Permanente Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full Time What You'll Do Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs for a defined group of patients. Develop a written plan of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient needs. Assist patients and families in developing healthcare goals as part of the care plan. Determine priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources. Provide nursing interventions safely and competently. Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and interventions. Assess the needs of designated patients requiring hospitalization and initiate discharge planning. Identify patients' educational needs and develop educational components for nursing care plans. Promote patient self-care responsibility and implement preventive measures. Participate in continued education programs and nursing research to enhance practice.
