Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position requiring 2 shifts per week on a day schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse will provide care in a fast-paced Level 2 Trauma Center. This role involves working with a diverse patient population including those with chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke, trauma, psych issues, and sepsis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current New York RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Triage Nursing Competency Certification (TNCC).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred but not required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no declination forms accepted).
