Job Tittle - Safety Manager
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety programs across active construction and utility job sites. This is a role responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices.
The Safety Manager will play a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture while working directly with field teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Travel Requirements
*Travel required: up to 50%.
*Travel includes visiting active job sites across New York State and occasionally Pennsylvania.
*Focus on conducting site safety inspections, auditing compliance, and supporting field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
*Interface directly with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety policies.
*Conduct site visits to monitor safety compliance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
*Maintain and manage documentation related to safety incidents and compliance audits.
*Ensure all employees complete required safety training in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
*Respond to and investigate job site incidents, implementing improvements as needed.
*Support development and enforcement of safety programs, procedures, and best practices.
*Promote a proactive safety culture across all job sites and operations.
Minimum Qualifications
*High School Diploma or equivalent.
*Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
*OSHA 30 Certification (Required).
*OSHA 510 Certification (Required).
*Valid Driver’s License.
Experience Requirements
*5+ years of construction safety experience.
*Experience working on construction, civil, or energy infrastructure projects.
*Strong familiarity with field operations, excavation, utility work, or heavy civil environments.
Skills & Competencies
*Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
*Risk assessment and hazard mitigation expertise.
*Incident investigation and reporting.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently across multiple job sites.
*Proficiency in maintaining safety documentation and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
*ASP, CSP, CSHO, or other safety certifications.
*Experience in utility, substation, or energy infrastructure construction.
