Staff Accountant (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing daily inventory reconciliations across multiple locations and systems

• Researching and resolving volume, inventory, and transaction discrepancies

• Monitoring inventory movements and ensuring data accuracy

• Analyzing inventory-related activity and identifying issues requiring follow-up

• Supporting transportation cost tracking and reconciliation efforts

• Working closely with operations, logistics, and accounting teams

• Assisting with reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 1-3+ years of contract accounting experience (level commensurate with experience)

• Prior experience in the fuel, energy, or commodities industry preferred

• Strong knowledge of GL accounting, including CIP, LIFO, and exchange transactions

• Experience with fuel pricing or cost accounting highly desirable

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

*This is a fully on-site position in the North Dallas area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $46.00/hr.
