PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Retail Hardgoods Lead Salesperson is the operational point person for the Rossignol Pro Shop located in Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley Resort. This role is responsible for opening and closing the store, delegation of daily operational tasks, inventory management, sales, and guest support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management

• Receive and process daily incoming merchandise deliveries by verifying quantities against shipment documentation and ensuring all merchandise is properly accounted for
• Identify and communicate shipment discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, or receiving errors to maintain accurate inventory
• Transfer merchandise between store locations for special guest requests and stock balance
• Assist in oversight of customer special orders of hardgoods products along with the store manager

Sales and Checkout

• Complete all credit card and gift card sales in a timely manner

Store Maintenance and Operations

• Open and close the store according to operational guidelines
• Delegate daily operational tasks to team members (Restocking, cleaning, dusting, store and merchandise presentation, etc.)
• Receive, stock, and display merchandise in alignment with retail merchandising team and visual standards on a daily basis
• Put away overstock in onsite and offsite storage rooms once the sales floor is adequately replenished
• Uphold cleanliness standard for custom boot modification workspace, including cleaning and servicing all tools and keeping the workspace neat and organized
• Maintain store visual and cleanliness standards throughout shift, ensuring a world-class shopping experience for all guests

Guest Relations and Service

• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing guest needs and suggesting products.
• Maintain basic knowledge of general information about Deer Valley ski resort and be capable of directing guests and answering their questions.
• Participate in Retail Pop-Up Events including outdoor tent activations.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of two years of experience with custom ski boot fitting and custom footbed creation required
• Previous sales experience and knowledge of apparel, gloves, eyewear, and ski hardgoods required
• Must be able to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and during peak holiday seasons
• Must be able to work a minimum of four days per week; five days per week preferred
• Ability to lift and/or carry between 25-30 lbs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk up and down staircases, carry boxes, products, and other store related items
• Ability to work independently and with a team of associates in a positive and productive manner
• Ability to climb a ladder when needed

• 11/1/2026 – 4/30/2027

PAY RATE:

• $22.00 per hour
