RN Supervisor, PreOp -PACU - Encinitas

Description This is a full‑time, benefited, exempt PreOp‑PACU RN Supervisor position. The shift is typically Monday‑Friday with a varied schedule. You will work closely with the Manager for staffing coverage. This position is eligible for the Supervisor incentive compensation plan. Responsibilities Supervise approximately 20 direct reports, learn, orient and manage PSE, PREOP, Endoscopy and PACU. Coordinate initial meetings for employee onboarding. Assist the manager with staff evaluations and timecard (UKG) management. Assist with the interviewing and hiring of new employees. Help with the development of the budget. Prepare for the move into the brand new tower located on the Encinitas campus anticipated in May 2026. Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and promotes patient safety. Share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensure the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care, including active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand‑off to the next appropriate level of care. Qualifications Two years of applicable clinical experience, one of which in a leadership role. Excellent skills in communication, problem‑solving, team development, planning and follow‑through; ability to exercise authority and responsibility for assigned services based on scope and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program. Maintains current California RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. BSN (preferred). Strong preference for hospital RN experience in PreOp‑PACU or ICU. Preference for RN experience with Endoscopy and PSE. Preference for one year or more of Supervisor or above experience. Compensation & Benefits Minimum Rate: $64.66 per hour. Maximum Rate: $93.61 per hour. The pay range is based on relevant experience and internal equity.
