Infrastructure & Security Manager

Location: Fully Remote (Must reside in Austin, TX as the role will be moving to at least 2 days onsite)
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in infrastructure / security / IT ops
3+ years in leadership role (infra/network/security teams)
Strong experience with servers, networking, VPNs, firewalls, identity/access
Experience with vulnerability mgmt, patching, and incident response
Experience with hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)
Vendor management experience
Experience supporting production-critical systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Microsoft stack (Azure AD, M365, Windows Server)
VMware / Hyper-V / Veeam / monitoring tools
Security frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001)
Firewall / SD-WAN tools (Fortinet, Meraki, etc.)
Certifications (CISSP, Security+, etc.)
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure & Security Manager to lead infrastructure reliability and security operations for a global engineering organization. This role will focus on building scalable infrastructure practices, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and ensuring uptime and resilience across critical business systems.
Day-to-Day:
Lead infrastructure and security operations teams
Manage servers, networks, backups, and access controls
Drive vulnerability management and patching programs
Oversee incident response and escalation
Ensure DR/BCP readiness and testing
Manage vendors, cloud providers, and infrastructure partners
Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes
