Senior Estimator

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Estimator (multiple positions). J.F. Brennan

Company, Inc. La Crosse, Wisconsin. Perform estimate take off and prepare construction budget for negotiated and hard bid projects. Oversee the work of estimators in the preparation of project bids and construction budgets. Serve as the primary point of contact and facilitator during project pursuit and execution to engineers, owners, and other contractors. Maintain and bid multiple iteration, options, and scenarios over the entire course of pursuit. Ensure ongoing awareness of projects through monthly forecast meetings, on-site project health checkups, assist and create change orders, and additional estimates required through construction. Transmit and receive work product via internet FTP sites. Communicate all business, technical and project aspects to sub-contractors. Prepare and present best estimate for overall project cost. Assist in providing technical information to supervisors for use in bid proposal estimates for one or more discipline areas, reporting to the Vice President Estimating and Project Control. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Assist in the monitoring of conceptual estimates with actual cost data. Assist in making project go and no-go decisions on opportunities with group leaders and Business Development. Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients when necessary. Requires: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree. 5 years of experience in any construction project management or estimation position. 5 years of experience in estimation of environmental, dam construction, submarine cabling, harbor management, or commercial dive services projects. 5 years of experience in HCSS-Heavy Bid, Oracle Primavera P6, Autodesk, ARC GIS, eCMS, and Bluebeam.
