About the Position Northampton Community College Child Care Center & Early Childhood Education Lab School in Bethlehem, PA seeks a part‑time Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a high‑quality early childhood education setting. The role involves creating a safe, engaging environment for young children and assisting with daily classroom activities. Responsibilities Assist with daily classroom routines and activities Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Maintain active supervision and ensure children’s safety Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom spaces Collaborate professionally with teaching teams and administration Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications High school diploma or GED Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Experience working with children preferred Preferred: CDA, ECE coursework, or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience in a NAEYC Accreditation Plus or Keystone STARS program Position Details Location: Northampton Community College Child Care Center & Early Childhood Education Lab School – Bethlehem, PA (Reibman Hall Children’s Center) Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible split‑shift opportunities: 6:30AM – 12:30PM or 12:00PM – 6:00PM Pay Rate: $15.00–$19.00 per hour based on education and experience Apply today and help inspire the next generation of learners! #J-18808-Ljbffr Northampton Community College
