Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Nursing Team: Night Shift Opportunity Awaits!


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: Every other weekend; First to float
- Region: Primary to St Clare Hospital with potential floating to:
- St Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, WA
- St. Elizabeth Hospital, Enumclaw, WA
- St. Clare Hospital, Lakewood, WA

Unit Highlights:
- Unit Type: MS/Tele Ortho
- Bed Capacity: 34 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Common Diagnoses:
- Total joints
- Cardiac rule out
- Pneumonia
- Psychiatric cases
- General surgery post-op

Required Skills:
- Proficient in administering Nitro and Insulin (may initiate and transfer)
- Experience with low-dose Dopamine and Dobutamine (rare on this floor)
- Capability to titrate drips, particularly Heparin (weight-based)

Nursing Environment:
- RN responsibilities include reading telemetry strips
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available on unit
- Nurse Aide support with ratios of 1:8, max 1:12


Equipment Familiarity:
- CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow oxygen

Work Conditions:
- Shifts typically from 07:00 to 19:30, three days per week
- Rotation through holidays as needed
- No call or standby requirements

Floating Requirements:
- Potential to float to Med Tele, PCU, or ICU for MedSurg acuity patients or ER holding

Orientation Details:
- Opportunity to test out of Epic if experienced
- One full shift orientation with unit educator

Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments, 3 shifts for shorter assignments

Charting System:
- EPIC
