Join our team as a 1st Timer Observation MS/Tele RN. This position requires a dedicated professional to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night (3x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Weekends required (every other weekend or possible every weekend)

Facility Information

• Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Staffed Beds: 418
• Scrub Color: Any color is acceptable; OR/L&D scrubs provided
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: No fee

Note: A personal vehicle is required for this assignment. Floating to other units based on skill sets is common and may include nearby facilities in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, and Seaside.

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 20 patients
• Number of Rooms: 22
• Number of Beds: 23

Unit and Responsibilities

• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Expected Skills:
  • Blood Product Administration
  • Cardiac Telemetry
  • Central Line Care/Management
  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) Management
  • Feeding Tube Care and Management
  • Heparin Protocols
  • Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Telemetry Monitoring
  • Wound Care/Wound Vac Management

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year patient care experience in relevant settings
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Charting System Experience: Experience with Epic is required

Interested candidates should demonstrate flexibility in floating between units and facilities. This role may also require participation in various interdisciplinary support teams.

• Orientation Hours: 24 hours
• RTO (Request Time Off): Must be requested upfront during submission.
