Charge Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Position Overview: The Operating Room (OR) Charge Nurse (RN) coordinates departmental functions, manages staffing, and acts as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for developing plans to meet regulatory standards, mentoring staff, and ensuring quality patient care aligned with professional nursing practices. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients of various ages. Supervise healthcare team members and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Coordinate scheduling and operational activities within the unit. Respond quickly to the needs of surgeons, patients, and staff in a fast-paced environment. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and develop improvement strategies. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of a nursing degree from an accredited school; BSN preferred. At least two years of relevant clinical nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred. Valid RN license in the state; CPR, ACLS, and specialty certifications as applicable. Effective interpersonal, communication, and decision‑making skills, especially under pressure. Ability to manage departmental budgets and implement change. Additional Requirements: Certification in specialty areas (e.g., neonatal, wound care, bariatrics), and completion of relevant training courses such as advanced fetal monitoring or neonatal resuscitation, may be required based on department needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
