Roles & Responsibilities

Provide individualized physical therapy assessments and treatments to help patients restore function and mobility
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapy team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
Educate patients and families on safe movement, exercise programs, and fall prevention
Maintain timely, accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and outcomes
Contribute to a positive, encouraging environment that supports healing and independence

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in Maine or eligibility to obtain one before start
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or outpatient settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
Skill in developing therapeutic exercise and manual therapy interventions
Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
Ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse patient needs
Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
