Job Description:

Opportunity: Grow Your Career

Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.

• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks in a timely and safe manner
• Sort, palletize, and organize incoming freight in the backroom
• Lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise (up to 40-50 lbs, with or without accommodation)
• Break down pallets and remove packaging materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques
• Meet early morning schedule requirements (7:30 AM start time)
• Work efficiently to meet truck processing deadlines
• Assist with moving merchandise to the sales floor as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Prior stockroom, warehouse, or truck-unloading experience preferred (not required)
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

This position has a starting pay range of USD $15.92 to $16.42 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
