Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses. Learn more at Careers | Lakeview Center (elakeviewcenter.org) [ Short Term Residential (SRT) is a 20-bed inpatient facility for Adults with Serious Mental Illness. Treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in conjunction with the wishes and needs of the people served. Overview: The Behavior Health Technician position assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs. This position is responsible for but is not limited to: Establishing a positive helping relationship with people receiving services. Assisting those receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those receiving services. Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan. Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress. Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is
- Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
- Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or
