TheCADDesignerisresponsibleforprovidingadministrativesupporttoPerimeterSecurityPartnersProjectEngineerbypreparingassembly/shopdrawings,detailedconstructionsubmittaldrawings,andorproductdiagramsformanufacturing.Detailstoincludeallviewsanddimensionsnecessaryforconstructionandfabrication.Decisionmakerbutrefersmostquestions/problemstooperationsorsupervisor.Hasasolidunderstandingofdraftingtechniques.Possessesmechanicalaptitudewithabilitytocompletebasicmathematicalcalculations.TheCADDesignerreportsdirectlytotheProjectEngineer. Duties: TheCADDesignerwillassistwithallthedesigndutiesassociatedwithsecurityconstructionprojects,productshopdrawings,andmanufacturingdrawingsutilizingtheirexperienceinCADsystems,includingAutoCADandAutodeskInventor. TheCADDesigner’sdutieswillinclude,butnotbelimitedtothefollowing: Developingandimplementingdesignanddrawingstandards. DraftingsecurityrelatedconstructiondrawingsforawiderangeofclientsincludingtheU.S.ArmyCorpsofEngineers,ChemicalFacilities,DepartmentofEnergy,U.S.AirForce,andFortune500companies. Preparingpartsandinventorylists. Preparemanufacturingdrawings. PerformotheradministrativeandmanagementtasksasdirectedbytheChiefofOperationsorProjectEngineer. Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications: HighSchoolDiplomaisrequired HasproficiencyinAutoCADsoftware. Post-secondaryschooltrainingindrafting(2-4yeartechnicalcertificateordegreefromanaccreditedinstitutionpreferred). Musthaveasolidunderstandingofdraftingtechniques. PreviousworkintheCivilEngineeringfieldisaplus. Musthavegoodpersonalhabits,betechnicallyconscientious,canstayontaskandcompleteworkonschedule,andcanworkindependentlyaswellasonateam. 3yearsofexperienceinaprofessionalworkenvironmentisrequired. 3ormoreyearsofexperienceinAUTOCADDesignrequired. AdvancedproficiencywithAUTOCAD2012andMSOfficeapplicationsisrequired. ProficiencywithMicroStationPowerDraftisaplus. ProficiencywithInventorisaplus. ProficiencywithSolidWorksisaplus.
