Head of Product, Consumer

We're partnering with a growing Series B tech company building consumer experiences and enterprise platforms. The core consumer business is cash flow positive, with multiple revenue streams and opportunities to expand into new products.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Product Management to lead the next stage of consumer growth. You will own product strategy and the roadmap, make investment decisions across multiple products and revenue opportunities, and lead two to three Product Managers. You'll drive growth across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion, combining new product development with rigorous analytics and fast experimentation.

This is a hands on player-coach role. You will develop PMs, raise the quality of product decisions, and stay close to customers, data, and execution, personally writing PRDs, prototyping, and driving initiatives from discovery through launch. Strong judgment, focused prioritization, and practical use of AI will be essential to increasing the team's impact.

What you'll do

• Own consumer product growth strategy and the 12 month roadmap, prioritized across the full funnel and tied to company goals.
• Drive acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion through product-led growth, self-serve experiences, and a disciplined experimentation cadence.
• Make investment decisions across multiple products and revenue streams, identifying which opportunities to build, improve, or deprioritize.
• Build new consumer products and features from concept to launch while improving the performance of existing experiences.
• Get into the data yourself, analyze customer behavior and funnel performance, and turn insights into product decisions.
• Lead and coach two to three PMs, reviewing their work, developing their judgment, setting clear expectations, and managing performance.
• Stay hands on with requirements, prototypes, experiments, and execution alongside Engineering and Design.
• Set ambitious goals and create urgency across Product, Engineering, and the business while maintaining trust.
• Use AI throughout discovery, analysis, prototyping, documentation, and delivery to help a lean team move faster.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, bringing clear recommendations and constructively challenging assumptions.

Who You Are:

• An experienced consumer software product leader with a track record of driving significant, measurable growth at successful startup or scale-up companies, with increasing product ownership and leadership responsibility.
• Have built and grown consumer products with multiple revenue streams and made trade-offs across different business opportunities.
• Bring strong experimentation and analytics experience, with meaningful ownership across the customer journey.
• Have directly managed and coached Product Managers.
• Enjoy doing product work yourself while leading a team, including writing PRDs, analyzing data, prototyping, and shipping.
• Comfortable operating in a lean, resource-constrained environment, with evidence that you can move quickly and take ownership.
• Highly analytical and able to independently access, interpret, and apply data. SQL experience is a strong plus, but equivalent hands on analytical capability is welcome.
• Extremely fluent in using AI in day-to-day product work, with concrete examples of how it improves your execution.
• Bring strong product judgment, prototyping ability, and a high bar for customer experience and quality.
• Technically fluent and comfortable partnering closely with Engineering on consumer technology, instrumentation, and experimentation infrastructure.
