Respiratory Therapist

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Salary Range: $40 - $45 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour nightshift, every other weekend rotation Location: Skilled nursing facility with a vent unit, offering post-hospital, short term rehab, and long term care services. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a vent unit and providing respiratory care to patients in a post-hospital setting. This position will require working 3/12 hour nightshifts and every other weekend rotation. Key Responsibilities Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the vent unit Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatments and make necessary adjustments to care plans Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to patients Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies and procedures Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist Minimum of 2 years of experience in a vent unit or acute care setting BLS and ACLS certification Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to work nightshifts and every other weekend rotation We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
